Donna Duvall - Artist

Donna Duvall - ArtistI am an Artist living in Mission, where I am surrounded by stunning views and artistic inspiration. I grew up on a farm in Northern Saskatchewan where I believe my love of animals and nature was born and continues to grow with each piece I create. I enjoy sharing the journey that art is taking me on, through teaching what I have learned to children and adults, and I hope to awaken the artist within each student.

I have been an active artist for the International Memory Box Program, an organization that helps bereaved mothers and fathers leave the hospital with a hand-painted Memory Box for their loved one. I currently donate “painting” time to help raise money for wildlife rescue. I finished a 6 year term as a Director with the Mission Art Council and after a short break I am back on the Board, I really got to know my community and the people within. I continue to be a member and volunteer my time helping out with Youth activities, in particular the “The Young Voices” annual gallery exhibition, showcasing the talented high school youth in our community. This has been an absolute pleasure!

My first gallery exhibition with my talented artist friend Serena Trinder. The “Serene and the Majestic” 2014 at the Mission Art Centre. I continue to show my work in the community at selected venues.

My goal is to capture that what makes us truly appreciate the beauty that surrounds us whether it’s the serene or the majestic! And sometimes adding a little whimsy here and there!

Enjoy! Donna Duvall
